Gadgets for Mothers Day: Great gift ideas for Mums who love gadgets
My mother is now retired and she is lucky enough that she can have a few holidays a year. At Christmas she asked for Nintendo DS Lite and Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training Game. We were all stunned, gadget friendly Mum is not, but she wanted it to take on her holidays to play on the sunlounger! Maybe a Nintendo DS Lite might appeal to your mum for the same reason?
Nintendo are working really hard to revolutionise gaming with the introduction of the Wii and the DS Lite adds a completely new dimension to hand-held gaming. It’s so easy to use that children as young as four or five can manage it with ease. Available in at least 6 colours and weighing about 480g it’s perfect for slipping in your on-board luggage!
The game consoles are available with a range of games bundles, so to help you out we’ve tried to pick out the same product from a few shops to give you a price comparison.

Mobile Phones for Mothers Day: The Perfect Mother’s Day Gift Idea
Still struggling for Mothers Day Gift Ideas? Well, is your mum difficult to get hold of? I know when I try to call my mum for an urgent babysitting request she’s never anywhere to be found. So this year I’m getting her a mobile phone for one of her mothers day gifts. Then there’ll be no escape – as long as she turns it on!
Rather than tying her into a contract a pay as you go mobile seems just the job, some handsets offer good quality without being too expensive.
The Nokia 6300 for example is between £70 and £90 for a pay as you go contract and is one of the best Nokia mobiles for many years.
With stainless steel covers it has a sleek and sophisticated design which also incorporates a 2 megapixel camera, an MP3 player, an FM stereo and is bluetooth enabled. Probably far more features than your Mum really needs. But definitely a favourite and worth considering. Click on the images below to find out more information.
If that’s a little bit expensive then the Samsung J700 is a fantastic mobile phone with loads of great functions – and it even comes in some really feminine colours – pink and purple. It has a 1.3 megapixel camera, video camera, MP3 player and bluetooth enabled. The casing has a mirror like surface and the now typical slide up Samsung styling. These phones are available as pay as you go mobiles from most networks including T Mobile, Vodafone and Virgin.
